About The KVGDC Comp Team
Here at KVGDC we are more than just a competitive team. Our focus is in providing a structured dance curriculum and positive reinforcement for our dancers. We look at our competitive team as a way for dancers to branch out, and gain experience and confidence through performance at a competitive level. Our competitive team auditions are in the spring and classes start in the summer. We usually have between 30 to 50 competitive dancers and bring around 20 to 40 routines to competition. Dancers may audition for the competitive team starting at age 7. We attend 4 competitions a year 2 Canadian and 2 American. Competition season usually begins the end of March and ends with our recital at the end of May.
