Ballet is the foundation of all dance forms and will maximize technique and longevity in a career of dance. it provides grace, poise, and technique needed to be proficient in all other areas of dance. Ballet classes will help dancers with posture, flexibility, fitness, balance, self discipline, and self confidence.
Jazz is a fundamental dance form that complements all other dance forms. Jazz classes are comprised of a warm-up, center work, and progressions including jumps and turns. Technique and style through choreography are emphasized. Students will learn jazz steps, progressive skills, and jazz combinations and routines.
This is a form of dance that focuses on coordination, timing, and syncopated rhythm. Tap is an expression of movement through sound. Dancers will learn choreography by performing rhythm based steps. Your feet will never stop moving!
Acro is a combination of the floor work of gymnastics and jazz movement. This class will improve flexibility, control and strength. Dancers will learn how to correctly and safely execute tricks. It is strongly recommended that dancers take a jazz or hip-hop class to complement their acro training.
Musical theatre is a wonderful fusion of theatre and jazz dance. Dancers will have the opportunity to perform various songs from Broadway shows and Disney movies while dancing and lip syncing at the same time.
Hip-Hop incorporates a variety of old and new urban dance styles. The dancing represents body movements that go with the beat and rhythm of hip-hop music. Hip-Hop dancing is very dynamic and helps the dancers improve flexibility, develop body balance, and coordination.
Lyrical is a combination of ballet and jazz that challenges dancers to use choreography and movement to interpret music and express emotion. Dancers learn to express emotion derived from lyrics to convey the dancers meaning.
Contemporary combines ballet and modern techniques with musical and emotional expression with a strong focus on modern techniques (contractions and release, off-center balances, and suspension.) As well as musicality and self expression.
10 Week Sessions
Ballet and jazzy hip-hop classes enables the dancer to build confidence and social skills. 10 week dance incorporates the fundamentals of ballet jazz and hip-hop it allows the dancers to express their love for movement and music in a fun and creative environment. Dancers will learn to combine steps and progress into performing routines from a combination of class exercises. 10 week ballet is perfect for a more quieter child jazzy hip-hop is perfect for a high energy child.
